Integrated into Capital Centre is a historic Grandstand that, for many years, was used by His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late President of the UAE, to view parades and other key celebrations in Abu Dhabi’s important past. Playing a vital role in the city’s future, The Grandstand will continue to be used for celebrations, and will also be used as the main VIP entrance to the Exhibition Centre, serving as a symbol of the synthesis between past and present.
An avant-garde 33-storey mixed-use tower will serve as one of the key visual icons of Capital Centre and a tangible representation of Abu Dhabi - a recognisable sign of the city’s progress and evolution. A curving, gravity defying masterpiece, the Feature Tower blends the beauty of the wave form with the energy and technological advances of modern architecture, reflecting Capital Centre's forward thinking and pioneering vision.
Another key feature of Capital Centre is The Galleria. An enclosed multi-storey air conditioned retail space, The Galleria diagonally links Central Square to the Marina developments and will provide an exciting and perfectly positioned location for restaurants, retail, cinemas and lifestyle experiences.
Three distinctive bridges will connect Capital Centre to its Marina Development. The Marina area will be a mixed-use zone incorporating retail, restaurants and entertainment. Stylish low-rise residential offerings with scenic views of the canal and its waterfront activities will integrate with the Marina. At its core will be a dedicated conference and meetings centre with banqueting and communications facilities that will ensure significant visitor numbers. The future home of super-yachts, marine exhibitions and floating hotels, the Marina is set to be one of Abu Dhabi's most vibrant locations.
